No, this is not the latest fantasy hero adventure series. On the other hand, the Green Dragon is an as-real-as-you-can-get exciting new scheme, courtesy of the City University London Students Union (CULSU). Open to students and staff who have identified opportunities, its main objectives are:
- To create a peer-to-peer project that facilitates a positive change in students’ attitudes and behaviours towards the environment and sustainability.
- Enhancing student employability
- Enhancing academic achievement
- Supporting social enterprise and student entrepreneurship
PIEL UK, gearing up for its eighth annual conference, is an exclusively student led initiative, aiming to establish itself as an environmental law organization with the help of City and other London University students and staff members. Students become empowered and aware of environmental sustainability, while getting leadership and project management skills! As part of the Green Dragons project, PIEL UK received the required amount of pledges to go through and will be hosting this year’s conference at Cass Business School on 11 April 2014: Corporations’ role in the Environmental Crisis: Problem or Solution?
If you would like to find out more and have your say in the debate, join us and our panel of renowned academics and practitioners on 11 April 2014 from 0900.
